FALA Approves Climate Action Plan
Season’s greetings! Below is some good news.
In a crucial step forward, FALA’s school board passed a Climate Action Plan, the first school in Flagstaff to do so! The plan includes a goal for FALA’s campus to be carbon neutral by the year 2030, aligned with the carbon neutrality goal in the city of Flagstaff’s Climate Action Plan. See a copy of the Climate Action Plan here (or see document below).
If you’re a student and would like to provide input on FALA’s Climate Action Plan, fill out this form here. If you’re interested in becoming more involved in climate related activities, come to an Environmental Coalition meeting on Tuesdays at 1pm (contact Marlee Stephens at  or Bridger Buck at  for more information)!
If you’re a parent or community member looking to become more involved in the plan, be on the lookout in January for FALA’s Sustainability Fund! The fund will help support student led projects, facility upgrades, and environmental learning experiences. If you have suggestions, resources, or are interested in learning more about the plan, please contact Keetra Bippus at .
Thank you,
Keetra
