Function as administrative support by carrying out and coordinating day-to-day administrative support activities for the organization and to maintain good public relations with students, parents, staff, and the general public. To maintain student absence data and student records for official reporting purposes. To perform specialized and responsible technical tasks to the maintenance of student records and files and maintaining an automated student information system. To assist with scheduling and coordination within the Student Affairs and Special Education Departments as needed.
The Intervention Specialist is a position that works closely with students to ensure they can succeed. They will coordinate administration of summative assessments that serve the purpose of evaluating students to learn more about the factors impacting their behavior and academic performance. They identify students in need of academic and behavior support and respond accordingly with collection of data and progress monitoring of skills. They will be the main Student Study Team Coordinator working closely with teachers to enact plans of support. They will work with students daily in small groups to give interventions. They will also be the 504 Coordinator for the school, utilizing knowledge in accommodations and tiered support to continue helping students as they enter the 504 process.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovative educational models and will be well-versed in progressive ideas in the field of teaching and learning. A particular interest in critical pedagogy and curricula is preferred.
