Hello, everyone!

Hello, everyone! I am new to FALA as of Fall 2024, and I am excited to serve you as a new member of the math team! My wife and I have lived in Flagstaff since I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2017, and I received my masters from Northern Arizona University in 2019. I have taught and tutored a variety of subjects including math, reading, writing and programming. Most recently, I learned so much working with amazing students with special needs at Thomas Elementary. Teaching is my greatest passion, and I love to help students understand challenging concepts and build confidence in their academic skills.

My hobbies include reading sci-fi/fantasy, studying languages, singing in choir, watching movies (especially foreign films), and playing with my toddler son. I’m a former president of a college fencing club, and enjoyed performing in musicals while I was in high school and college. Though I’ve left behind those activities as my life and priorities have changed, I’m happy to chat about them with anyone who is interested!

Again, I’m so happy to be at FALA, and I look forward to helping all of our 6th-8th graders on their journey to become math superstars!
