Jennifer is excited to be part of the vibrant community at Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy, where she brings her passion for student support and inclusive education. With a career that’s taken her from the Peace Corps in Turkmenistan to founding a therapeutic arts school in Chicago—and over 20 years as a mental health provider in schools—she’s always been focused on helping young people thrive.
She’s especially passionate about building safe, connected, and creative learning environments for all students, with a special focus on those in Special Education. Jennifer has designed programs and trainings around Restorative Practices, Trauma-Informed Care, and Crisis Response, and she’s always looking for ways to grow and improve.
Jennifer holds a Doctorate in School Psychology, a Master’s in Social Work, and dual BAs in English and Anthropology. She loves learning, collaborating, and creating systems that help students feel seen, supported, and successful.
At FALA, Jennifer values the tight-knit community and is committed to helping students feel connected, empowered, and ready to reach their full potential.
